Question? How much of your expensive acid or detergent ends up on the ground instead of the drum?
Most wash brushes are not designed to hold liquid in them. After dipping a bucket, most of the acid will end up on the ground before reaching the drum.
The Answer:
Orange-Crete brushes were developed to hold liquid in them. When used as a transfer tool (from bucket to drum) these brushes retain 33-50% more liquid in the brush than regular wash brushes. All the main competitors have copied our brushes through the years, even some of them using the same orange bristles we use. Attached pictures show the difference.
This results in 15% LESS acid wasted on the ground, which equates to approx.. 8 gallons per 55 gallon drum.
~~ Picture 1 shows the difference in size of the holes of an Orange-Crete plus and a competitors brush (most competitors brushes have those large holes
~~Picture 2 shows the competitor brush, and the space that’s left where more bristles could have been stuffed in resulting acid getting into the holes, corroding the staples holding the bristles together and causes the bristles to fall out or be able to be pulled out by hand.
~~Picture 3 shows how many bristles are stuff into each hole of an Orange-Crete brush preventing acid to getting into the holes.
Lets take a look at how many gallons your drivers use each week:
- 500 gallons – save 75 gallons or $375 @ $5 per gallon
- 1000 gallons – save 150 gallons or $750 @ $5 per gallon
It adds up quickly.
SAVE ON OVERALL BRUSH PURCHASES
Orange-Crete brushes will reduce your overall brush use by 20-50%.
Let’s say that you currently average 6 brushes per year per mixer truck:
How many fewer brushes will you use in a year with Orange-Crete:
- 20 mixers – 24 -60 fewer brushes
- 50 mixers – 60-150 fewer brushes
- 100 mixers – 120-300 fewer brushes
- 400 mixers – 480- 1200 fewer brushes
WHY THE DIFFERENCE?
Did you know that most brushes on the market sold as acid brushes are actually window or vehicle brushes?
Orange-Crete brushes were developed for the harsh environment unique to the READY MIX INDUSTRY.
See the attached pictures to see how they are built to last!
SAVE ON LABOR
Orange-Crete brushes on average will reduce cleaning time by 10%.
Cleaning ready mix trucks is a time consuming but necessary job. Without the proper tools your valuable drivers are wasting valuable hours.
If a typical cleanup takes 30 minutes per day, then the driver can spend 130 hours a year washing mixer trucks.
In 1 Year, Orange-Crete brushes can save you 13 hours of labor per driver
How much does that save you in a year?
20 drivers: 260 paid hours
100 drivers: 1300 paid hours
Drivers save time because each brush stroke achieves more cleaning action due to our unique design:
- Optimal gauge (thickness) of fiber
- Optimal crimp (twist) of fiber
- Optimal amount of fiber per hole
At the end of the day, the costs to clean your fleet is more than just the dollar per gallon you pay for your truck wash/acid, using the right brush to clean your truck can save you a tremendous amount of money each year…..
